Black Clover Chapter 286

Flashbacks continue exploring the contrasting lives of the twin brothers from the House of Faust, highlighting how the cheerful and talented Morgen joined the Magic Knights alongside Yami while Nacht retreated into studying forbidden magic. When their parents summon them at age eighteen, Nacht foolishly attempts to summon the supreme devil Lucifugus. Instead of obeying his summoner, the powerful entity unleashes a devastating attack that strikes everyone present in the dark chamber. Morgen rushes in to try and stop the catastrophe, but tragedy strikes as the deadly magic overwhelms him, leaving Nacht consumed by overwhelming grief, regret, and a vow to never forgive himself.
