Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You Chapter 62

Sasaki waits outside during the cold evening while Yamada handles a difficult customer inside the supermarket. When Yamada finally meets Sasaki behind the building, she abruptly tells him she cannot talk and asks to postpone their smoke break. Sasaki notices her visible distress and gently reaches out to ask why she is being so hard on herself. Overwhelmed by his sincere concern, Yamada pushes him away in tears and harshly declares that they are merely strangers who should have never met, leaving Sasaki shocked and heartbroken by her sudden rejection.
