Ichi the Witch Chapter 7

Riding in a magic-powered wagon toward Thazanwood, Ichi, Kumugi, and Descaras pass the time conversing about their journey and abilities. Kumugi expresses humility about her modest skills as a research student, while Ichi admires her despite teasing Descaras's demanding nature. Suddenly, Ichi senses danger and leaps out of the wagon into the nearby forest. There, they discover a young child fleeing from aggressive ice sharks. Ichi immediately jumps into action, boldly confronting the creature and slicing it down to protect the terrified child, leaving his companions astonished by his overwhelming power.
