Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You Chapter 17

Yamada reflects on her past work experience at Superfresh Supermarket eight years ago, remembering how she struggled with customer service and received strict guidance from her supervisor. During a smoke break behind the building, Sasaki inadvertently upsets Yamada by praising her work ethic, causing her to tear up as she admits how much she genuinely cares about her job. Flustered and apologetic, Sasaki tries to comfort her, and Yamada quickly recovers, smiling warmly at his typically over-the-top reactions as they share a quiet moment together.
