Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You Chapter 21

Sasaki endures another exhausting day at his corporate job before heading to the supermarket for his usual routine. During a smoke break behind the building, Tayama explains that Yamada is currently busy studying for an upcoming employee promotion exam. Unaware that Tayama is actually Yamada in disguise, Sasaki nervously writes an encouraging message on a piece of paper at her request, worrying that an older man leaving notes might seem inappropriate. Tayama takes the note and later gives Sasaki a replacement card to look at whenever his boss upsets him. Back at the store, Yamada successfully motivates herself to study hard, and days later at the office, Sasaki remembers the encouraging note during a harsh scolding from his boss.
